I attended Akron University and had odd jobs until I started working for Western Electric in 1963. I was drafted into the Army in 1964-1966 and stayed stateside. I attended Cameron College while at Ft. Sill in Oklahoma and ended my Army life as head life guard on the base.
I married Sandy Mathews on July 6, 1968. We have 3 children...Steve, 39; Laura, 36; and Amy, 31. We also have 9 grandchildren, Jared, 17; Jordan, 14; Graham, 13; Jared, 12; Ethan, 11; Mia, 9; Hannah, 8; Samantha, 6; and Oliver, 2.
Steve and his family live in Oklahoma while the rest of the family are close by.
I enjoy fishing and Lake Erie and going to our cottage in Marblehead. Now that I am retired, since June, 2008, I enjoy doing things with the grandchildren....I am the one that takes them to the movies for all of the latest releases.
All and all I have had a good life and am thankful for all I have been blessed with. |
